Failing to plan is planning to fail.
For many executives, balancing day-to-day operations while carving out time for strategic thinking is a constant challenge. That’s where we come in.
At PM Academy, we offer world-class strategic facilitation services designed to help organisations step back, think clearly, and plan effectively for the future. Our facilitators create a structured, focused environment that enables leadership teams to align, engage, and make informed strategic decisions.
We recognise that there is no single “right” way to conduct strategic planning. Every organisation has its own context, constraints, and ambitions. Our clients range from small not-for-profit and entrepreneurial organisations to large, established enterprises. We tailor our facilitation approach to suit each client’s unique needs, ensuring the right tools and techniques are applied to achieve meaningful and practical outcomes.
Our Strategic Facilitation Services Include:
- Development of Vision and Mission Statements
- Environmental Scanning and Context Analysis
- SWOT Analysis
- Goal and Objective Setting
- Action Planning and Strategic Roadmapping
Our PPFacilitate™ Methodology
We follow a structured 6-step PPFacilitate™ methodology to ensure clarity, alignment, and successful delivery throughout the strategic planning process:
1. Confirm Scope and Contract
We confirm and finalise the scope of the Strategic Planning Facilitation, including the execution approach, requirements, and timelines. A facilitation delivery contract is prepared and signed by both parties.
2. Facilitation Planning
All parties are prepared well in advance. We engage with key stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of the organisation’s environment and strategic objectives. A detailed Strategic Planning Facilitation Plan is developed and formally signed off by the client and PM Academy.
3. Conduct Facilitation
Using our PPFacilitate™ methodology, strategic planning sessions are facilitated with the identified stakeholders. A variety of proven tools and techniques are used to encourage participation, maintain focus, and ensure the sessions deliver against agreed objectives.
4. Compile Draft Documentation
We formalise the outputs from the facilitation sessions into structured draft documentation, ensuring all requirements and agreed outcomes are clearly captured.
5. Review and Agree Draft Report
The draft Strategic Planning documentation is distributed, presented, discussed, and agreed with management and key stakeholders. This step ensures relevance, accuracy, alignment, and strategic buy-in.
6. Handover and Closure
The final Strategic Planning documentation is formally handed over to the client. The assignment is officially closed, providing the organisation with a clear, actionable strategic foundation moving forward.
